Android devices and the freedom they provide to developers are ideal for conducting experiments of all kinds. The most common are programs, ranging from installing various custom ROMs or even installing a Windows operating system on a mobile phone. Specifically, this latest experience is the one that was performed on Xiaomi Mi 6 and Galaxy S8, which was able to run the Windows 10 version in mobile phones with ARM processors.

Installing Windows 10 on a mobile phone is not new. In the past, it has already been achieved on smartphones that hit the market with Windows Phone, such as the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. The achievement here is that Xiaomi Mi 6 and Galaxy S8 are Android devices, and they do not depend on any Microsoft platform, which opens an interesting door to what can be achieved in the future using an Android smartphone.

Remember that a few years ago Microsoft worked closely with Qualcomm to develop a version of Windows 10 that supports ARM processors. The idea behind this version of Windows 10 is to allow developers to bring their mobile applications to a PC (and vice versa), but this also allows Windows 10 to be transferred to mobile phones using ARM processors.

In fact, Qualcomm itself introduced at that time a Windows 10 laptop with the Snapdragon 820 SoC processor, which was able to play games like World of Tanks, play 4K videos, run all Microsoft Office 2019 programs and perform basic system functions Windows Operating System.

Therefore, it is not surprising that Xiaomi Mi 6 and Galaxy S8 with Snapdragon 835 processors are able to run Windows 10 successfully. In the case of Mi 6, the developer who performed this process did not mention the problems he encountered when installing Windows 10 on a mobile phone. Instead, Evisio0n, responsible for installing Windows 10 on the Galaxy S8, said that some features such as cameras, some sensors, and a touch of the phone do not work in the phone with Windows 10.
